Proverbs 23:7 For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he.

 

The development of a person’s soul is an incredible thing to watch.  It happens to all of us.  Every second of every minute is recorded there.  The sum total of your life is there.  Someday, in the future, it is your soul that will stand before God at the judgement seat of Christ.  The negative things will be thrown away or burned up.  The good things will provide you with rewards as your soul rejoices to hear God’s voice say, “Enter thou into the joy of the Lord”.  The greatest influence we place in our soul comes through our thinking.  It’s what we believe; what we decide about all things; what we do.

If you’re an adult, then deep inside of you you have already decided what kind of person you are . . . how open and genuine you will be with others, and who will be a part of your life . . . and who will not.  It is your thinking that provides this information to your soul.

If I’m teaching about this process somewhere I always tell the people a phrase I believe God gave me many years ago.

“YOU MAY NOT BE WHAT YOU THINK YOUR ARE . . . BUT WHAT YOU THINK . . . YOU ARE!”

Your physical life will reflect what’s in your soul . . . your core.  Let Christ eliminate what He must; make changes little by little; create in all of us a new heart and transform us by renewing our minds . . .  our thinking.

I know you want Him to do this for you.  It’s possible . . .  for you.

Keep your earthly race always before you . . .  Focus your mind . . . Your thinking . . .  on things that are God like . . .  and only good fruit, even in moments of tragedy . . . will come out of you.

Decide to be a refresher to someone else . . .  today!
