Psalms 103:15, 16 As for man, his days are as grass; as a flower of the field, so he flourisheth. For the wind passeth over it, and it is gone; and the place thereof shall know it no more. (healing)
By any standards, our life on earth compared to eternity is very short. So, if we are to accomplish much for God we need to understand our trials. Apostle Peter said in I Peter 1:7, “That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ.”
For most believers, losing someone you love creates a major trial. For me it has. Sometimes we all struggle just to make sense of it all when it happens. We can’t control the reality of someone we love passing to the other side. So, let’s focus on what we can control. We can control how we react to this tragic event. Let’s look at this. If your loved one who has passed over was a believer, then all the intense sorrow we feel is for us. Not for them. Our missing them is why our heart breaks and the emotional pain it brings to us. They are rejoicing. They made it. Now it’s up to us to deal with the hurt. You can get through this. You will get through this trial. Everyone is depending on you to.
Repeat this yourself throughout the day:
I am getting stronger.
God is healing my broken heart.
