Stop! Don’t turn the page yet . . .  this article will probably not be what you think it is.

We’re not talking about running down to the mall and buying something you may or may not want or need.  We’re talking about learning and becoming educated on subjects you may not know much about.

Some years ago, I was talking to an older gentleman that had a lot of wisdom.  That day, we were talking about grief.  We were discussing the emotional and physical pain that often accompanies the grief that is caused by tragedy or the loss of someone we love.  The question that we kept coming back to was . . . “How does someone not let the severe emotional and mental stress, that comes from a tragic loss, keep them from functioning day by day?”  It can prove to be very difficult to not fall prey to our own dark thoughts.  Over the years I’ve come to call this stressful experience, “Living in the Land of OG” (Overcoming Grief).

The Land of OG

In the Land of OG a person finds themselves experiencing feelings of despair . . . regrets . . . loneliness . . .  anger . . . and frustration, just to share a few.  These kinds of negative feelings can shut down your quality of life.  Experience has shown us that allowing ourselves to be alone, too often, and for long periods of time foster these types of negative emotions.  One great remedy to combat this is to get moving.  I know, most people just don’t feel like getting moving but it’s important.  The more you start to move, the easier it is to move.

Everyone needs an incentive to get started.  Something that is new and exciting.  Something that occupies our minds with fun, positive things.  Subjects that stimulate our minds and bring us the joy of discovery.

SHOPPING THERAPY OUR WAY

No, I’m mot talking about going to your local mall and spending money for the fun of it.   Anyone can do that, and if that’s therapy for you . . . makes you feel better, then by all means go and have fun and do that.  That kind of shopping for some of us brings on more stress, not relieve the stress we have.  I’m talking about going on an adventure right there in your home town, and everywhere you travel.  I’m talking exploring, learning something new, about hours and hours of just plain exciting fun and unless you find a treasure this kind of shopping is virtually at no cost to you.

A few years ago, I discovered a large area of untapped wealth.  I just needed to find that which was mine to find.  I found a hidden commodity that virtually everyone knows about, but few know how to find it and even fewer know how to make money with it.

The commodity is . . .  SILVER!

Did you know that thrift stores, garage sales, flea markets or swap meets, estate sales, church bazaars and even in our coins there is lots of “free” money to be collected if you just know how to pick it up?

“FREE MONEY”

Learning how to get “FREE money” and then spending afternoons, mornings or evenings . . .  your spare time, not only has intrinsic therapeutic values but may make you a little money as well.  There are not too many places to shop that when you buy something you already know how much money you make.  Did you know that when the silver market price is $18.85, every silver quarter is worth $3.37?  Please note:  Silver is a commodity and its value moves up and down throughout every business day.  Its price was $18.85 on the day this article was written.

Maybe you put a quarter, with silver in it, in the vending machine for a drink or some candy today.

Once you know what to look for you won’t do that again.  Did you know that most workers in thrift stores, flea markets, garage sales don’t know that silver trays, silver ware, ash trays, jewelry, and much more can have designer marks, let alone know where to look for them?  There are so many items floating around out there that are collecting dust just waiting for someone like you to learn how to discover them.  This is what I call “Shopping Therapy Our Way”.  It’s fun; you can do it with your family and friends; it occupies your mind; it gets you moving; you have a new adventure; and you might even make some money at it.

I have compiled a series of strategies for you.  It’s all FREE.  It will teach you the basics.  There are no gimmicks.  It’s another way that we are sharing to assist you in overcoming grief.

Happy hunting . . .  Shopping Therapy Our Way…STOW!!
