III John 2 Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest proper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.
This scripture is one of my favorites when I’m sharing about how to change and improve the quality of your life . . . “the God way”. Notice what John wishes has its conditions. He wishes that you would prosper and be in health. The condition is, as your soul. . . blue print prospers.
These two truths are in direct relationship with each other. John is declaring that your health and prosperity is tied to what is in your soul. He is tying your physical life to the development of your eternal soul. It seems to be proportional and allows for the changes and improvements in your soul. Remember, your soul is a depository for everything that has ever happened to you in your life. Your experiences, good or bad; your thoughts and motives; deeds; your born-again experience; your walk with Christ; relationships to others; all these together make up what’s in your soul. Your soul uses these things as a foundation to act out in your physical life.
If you want things to change for the better for you, you must examine yourself first. Learn how to change your soul . . . your blue print . . . to be more like God, His Word, your core beliefs, and your tongue will push you forward to a new way of living. You can do this. Work to remove your souls’ dark debris and replace it with the promises of the “Word of God”.
If you do, little by little, you’ll see your life improve and become what you have vision for.
