Matthew 17:20 “. . . for verily I say unto you, if you have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.
This is God’s kind of faith. I don’t recommend you go and stand at the base of Mt. Everest today and try to cast it into the sea. Yeah . . . you would fail. But maybe not for the reasons you think. Is it possible for us to have more faith? How will I know when I have it? Will I recognize it? What should I do with it? These are the questions from the heart of a believer who is in hot pursuit of a closer walk with God. But, let’s do first things first.
Instead of facing Mt. Everest let’s recognize that struggles and misunderstandings, and confusion and heartache are deep within us. These are the mountains we need to face first. Sometimes it’s the smallest seemingly unimportant things that after they’re dealt with and are overcome, seemed like insurmountable mountains in our souls now.
Some years ago, my wife and I knew a couple that were our very best friends. They’ve passed on to the other side now and we are waiting to be reunited with them. They experienced this in their lives . . .
