Matthew 12:35 A good man out of the good treasure of the heart bringeth forth good things.

Our core; inner man; is the foundation of our mind, will and emotions . . . our soul.  It is that part of us that is truly us.  People ask me all the time, “how is man created?”  I tell them that I am a soul and I have a spirit. I live in a body.  In your soul resides your greatest joys; memories of your most traumatic experiences; how people have treated you; how you have treated others; your disappointments; your heartaches; times of brokenness; and the thrill of your victories.

Over time, these kinds of experiences and what you’ve allowed yourself to think about them . . . it’s all there.  The experiences that are like thorns and thistles that prick your heart with pain every time you think about them.  All the good, bad and ugly that you’ve experienced are there, right now . . . deep inside you.  You may have tried to bury or hide it somewhere deep inside you, but it’s still there.

What do we do with it?

Anything?  It’s just part of life, right?  Those experiences, some hopefully forgotten ones, through the years, still influence your life today; and many times, in a negative way.  They influence how you make decisions in similar instances; they influence your thoughts, your state of mental peace, your relationship.  When you accept Christ, it is the Holy Spirits’ job to gently help you overcome each of them and remove all the negative forces from your life. . . soul.

True freedom is not to just forget the pain of past experiences . . . but let the Holy Spirit remove them through His Godly tools of forgiveness; love; compassion; kindness and a thorough understanding of how it all works together.

You have the power, with the assistance of the Holy Spirit to change . . . you.  Let Him help you be a happier person today.
