Psalms 8:4-6 What is man, that thou art mindful of him? And the son of man, that thou visitest him? For thou hast made him a little lower than the angels, and hast crowned him with glory and honor. Thou madest him to have dominion over the works of thy hand; thou has put all things under his feet.
Heaven with God and our loved ones is our eternal prize. That will truly be a glorious time. But now you can clearly see the cycle of life. Physical life = physical death = eternal life. We finish our work on earth when we take our last breath. But when we walk into heaven what do we want our work on earth to have accomplished? Do we want to stand before God and have accomplished nothing for Him? I don’t, and I know you don’t. So how do we maximize our success for His kingdom here and still enjoy our earthly life despite its trials, hurts, sufferings and challenges, and how do you prepare your family to do the same?
You have the right perspective now. You celebrate the fact that unless the Lord tarries we have a date certain to leave this natural life. This is why every day is so important. In Psalms 8 we learn that God has put all things under our feet. What do we do with this authority? How do we use it the way He wants us to? To find these answers we must look inside ourselves . . . where the Holy Spirit is . . . and listen. Can you hear Him? I know you can.
