I Corinthians 15:57 But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

Death nor the grave can have victory over Gods’ children.  If you don’t believe in eternal life with Christ, then you are counted among those the Apostle Paul describes in I Corinthians 15:19.  “If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable.”

The word of God assures believers that their soul lives on after physical death.  Just as Jesus did.  His body went into the tomb after His crucifixion.  However, while His body waited in the tomb for His resurrection, His soul went into paradise. Just as he promised the penitent thief on the cross, and declared Himself to be the Son of God to all the saints who were waiting for Him, so He could be the first one resurrected.  Do you want to see how the Bible defines victory over death and the grave?  Then look at this?

Revelation 5:11,12

“And I beheld, and I heard the voice of many angels, round about the throne and the beast and the elders: and the number of them was ten thousand times ten thousand, and thousands of thousands.”

This is what victory over death and the grave will look like in heaven with God.  What a glorious day that will be.  You will reunite with not only your family and friends but with millions of other believers who overcame death and the grave through the power of Christ.

Even so, come quickly, Lord Jesus.
